Good Boy, Kerry...

Things have been a little hectic around here lately, what with my psycho biological mother showing up in town and wreaking havoc on my family. I actually saw her yesterday in person (though I was lucky enough that she didn't spot me) so I know it was her. So since she has been around for the last couple of days, I've been kind of hiding out here at Master's place during the day because she won't know where to find me if I'm here.

Anyways, I'm sitting here all by myself and Master's dog, Kerry, decides that he wants to go out back and chase the birds around. Nothing unusual. So I let him out and he tears through the back yard scaring away all of the birds and he's running around, tail up, head high like "Yeah. I own this place, bitches." and before too long he's lounging out in the sun.

I take the time to catch a few pics of this butterfly getting nectar from the flowers in the back yard, and Kerry is still sitting outside soaking up the sun. After coming back inside, a few minutes later I hear him scratching at the door. I let him in and he trots over next to the couch and plops down on the floor. I notice he has what looks like a brown, dried crumpled leaf in his mouth and walk over to him to take it out of his mouth, kind of giggling at him.

That's when I realized that that was no leaf, but instead, he had brought a freshly caught dead bird into the house. >.<; I couldn't help but laugh and also be a little grossed out. As soon as I saw what it was, though, I tried to escort him out of the house with it. As soon as I let him out, I turn around and the dead bird is lying there on the floor.

Dammit Kerry. lol

Needless to say the dead bird is outside, though it was a little comical because when I threw it outside, Kerry looked at me like "But.. I got that just for you."

Good boy, Kerry... good boy. XD

  1. Oh man, animals and their "presents". When I was a kid, my aunt's cat dropped the head of a chipmunk onto my sleeping father's chest. Horrifyingly comical.
